cleanings & Exams
Many dental issues can be avoided by setting up a regular schedule of dental visits which include a cleaning with our hygienist and exam by one of our dentists. X-rays may be taken in order to diagnose any problems and develop a treatment plan to help the patient achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
extractions & oral surgery
Many patients require the removal of a tooth that cannot be repaired or is causing pain. In some cases, bone grafting may be recommended for future placement of an implant or other treatment. If a tooth needs to be extracted, our dentists may be able to perform the surgery.
dentures
Removable dentures may be required to replace some or all missing teeth when alternative treatment options are not possible. Implants may also be used to help a patient achieve better retention and satisfaction of use with his or her dentures.
Fillings and restorations
While the first response is prevention, when decay begins to compromise or break down surfaces of a tooth, a filling may be required to properly remove the infection and restore the tooth to a healthy, functional level. We offer composite or tooth colored fillings at our practice.
crowns, bridges, & veneers
In some cases, a crown may be required to properly restore and protect an individual tooth. Dental bridges are used when the patient also needs to replace missing teeth. Crowns and bridges may be used in several different situations based on a patient's needs or wishes. Veneers can be used to enhance a patient's smile when front teeth require a change in size, shape, length, or color.
implants
When possible, dental implants are the best option for patients who need to replace their natural teeth. The artificial tooth is attached to a titanium implant that is placed directly in the jaw bone. This allows it to function, look, and feel as though the patient never lost their teeth.
minor tooth movement
Over time a patient's teeth may shift or move slightly, even after having worn traditional braces in the past. Through the use of clear retainers, a patient can re-align and improve the appearance of his or her smile. Schott Family Dentistry offers treatment through Smilers
root canals
Root canal therapy is required to help save a tooth that has an infection within that tooth and/or its surrounding tissue. This is usually caused by a deep cavity or fracture. In this procedure, the tooth is cleaned and the infected portion/source of pain is treated so that the tooth may be restored properly.
teeth whitening
When patients want to enhance their smile, teeth whitening treatment can be an effective option. We offer in-office/same day services or take home packages for whitening teeth based on a patient's needs or desires.
